Teaching grammar is very important. When I teach writing to older students, I tell them to look up grammar on different websites. Even very good writers have a question of what to use. Getting in the habit of looking it up can help change old habits. The apps about grammar are really designed to use with one student. The apps I suggest are often used by a speech and language pathologist or sometimes a special education teacher. However, what do you do if you have one student that is behind in grammar in a large class? The issue with teaching a class with an app is the assessment. If you use a grammar app with the entire class, you have to figure out a way to do an assessment. No one wants to ignore how important it is to teach grammar. Teaching grammar when you are doing writing at the same time is difficult. These apps are fast ways to isolate specific areas of grammar and teach in an engaging way. It is also a good idea to project some of these apps to create a good visual for your students. The apps will give an interactive worksheet with multiple examples.
