Section 4 Hardware for the Visually Impaired

The eSight headset looks like it is straight out of a science fiction movie. A camera picks up what you are looking at. Mini-viewers are inside the device. You can then adjust the picture to help see it better. The picture can be enlarged. The price is on the higher-end side. However, this technology does what other devices cannot. The opportunities that can be created as a result are tremendous. I love the concept. This could be the future for the visually impaired.

OrCam MyEye 2

You wear this item on glasses and it tells you information on different visuals. OrCam can read text be programmed to recognize faces, products, read barcodes, read money, and tell you the color of items. This is an amazing technology.

These glasses make colors come out like never before. It can be used with individuals that are color blind to allow them to see more vivid images. There are a number of videos of people reacting to using these glasses online. You would have to try these glasses to understand how they work.
