Section 2 Flashcards

Flashcards are still an excellent way to help students with memory issues and those with difficulty with focusing. Both groups benefit from the use of electronic flashcards and other innovative testing and drilling methods. If you have difficulty focusing or remembering it translates to problematic executive function issues. Flashcards have slowly become better over the years. The competition in this area has improved. I still really like Quizlet. However, competitors have evolved to the point of being viable options. I have listed the best flashcard websites/apps in this section.

Quizlet Best of Class Author’s Pick

This app has tons of pre-made flashcards. The app claims to have a database of 15 million flashcards. This is the best flashcard website that I have found.

Flashcards by NKO — Engaging Flashcard Activities
This is a flashcard app that has a large number of ways for you to learn the information.

Brainscape - Smart Flashcard

This is a highly rated flashcard app that is free. The write-up on iTunes calls them smart flashcards. From the reviews, I would have to say they are on to something. You can also buy a number of in-app purchases.

Online flashcards and study guide in a highly rated app.

This is a very good flashcard website. You can also get an app for the iPad or Android tablet. You can test yourself several different ways with this app. The website also has a massive number of flashcards if you want to use what others have already done.

Bitsboard Flashcards & Games
This is a very good flashcard app for the iPad.

Ultimate Vocabulary Builder

This is a flashcard app with a number of very high ratings.

Flashcards Deluxe

This program is designed to make some very nice flashcards.

This website gets some great reviews.

You can use this app with Quizlet, and that is a real plus.

Knowji Vocab Lite Audio Visual Vocabulary Flashcards for SAT, GRE, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, ISEE Exam Takers

I don’t normally like to rate flashcard apps that are for specific tests. However, the reviews and design of this app are just too good to be ignored.
